Enough about construction jobs — the financial sector is hurting too!
Jobless New Yorkers, like laid-off Chase manager Ahmed Brown, want President Obama to focus on mid-level banking industry gigs when he delivers his speech tomorrow.
“On the news, you hear about infrastructure, a lot of job opportunities in construction [and] building bridges,” said Brown, 44, of Hunts Point, referring to Obama’s previous statements.
“But what about a banker from Chase?” he asked.
Brown was making about $80,000 a year as a Chase vice president before he was cut loose.
