OCEAN CITY, N.J. — A city official says the pilot of a small banner plane that went down in an Ocean City marsh is OK.

City Business Administrator Jim Rutala says the plane went down in a marshy area off 52nd Street just before 3 p.m. Friday.

The pilot, whose name was not immediately available, was uninjured, and no one else was hurt.

Emergency crews were attempting to pull the plane from the marsh.

It was not immediately clear what caused it to go down.
