Legendary talk show host Barbara Walters will go under the knife for heart surgery, she said Monday her television program “The View,” People Magazine reported.

“Later this week, I’m going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve,” she reportedly said, adding that the problem was discovered during an echocardiogram.

“I thought it best not to talk about it too far in advance,” she noted.

Recovery can take up to three months, People reported.
