BANGOR, NY — More than 100 cattle have been killed in a barn fire at a dairy farm in this northern border town.

Fire dispatchers received a report of the blaze shortly after 1 a.m. yesterday at Alain Choiniere’s farm in Bangor, near the Canadian border.

The state’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation and fire investigators are trying to determine what caused the inferno.
