A former fraud investigator says Major League Baseball threw him a curveball with a “bait-and-switch” job offer so it could boost the number of Hispanics on its front-office payroll.

William Diaz sued the league yesterday for allegedly luring him from the New York State Attorney General’s Office with the promise of an “important supervisory position” with a 40-hour workweek, a free car and a $95,000 annual salary.

Instead, Diaz was stuck with a $73,500 chauffeur’s job that “generally involved long hours” with “few if any” breaks, says his Manhattan federal suit.

An MLB spokesman declined to comment.
