Basement window boob sought

A thief broke into an E. 55th Street home on Jan. 9, but ended up fleeing empty-handed.
The homeowner said that the thief forced open a side basement window to his home, which is near Avenue T, during the 11:30 am raid.
Check kiter search
A check kiter is being sought for trying to bilk $16,000 from a Marine Park resident.
The 40-year-old victim, a resident of E. 36th Street, told police that someone got his hands on one of her checks. The thief then tried to cash the check on Dec. 31, but a teller stopped the transaction from going through.
Door kicker sought
A thief kicked in the door to an E. 56th Street home on Jan. 13, but ended up taking nothing.
The homeowner, who lives near Avenue H, said that the break-in took place at 12:30 pm.
More door entries
Someone forced his way into an E. 58th Street home on Jan. 14, taking $260 and a cellphone.
The thief entered the home sometime after 6 am, the 31-year-old homeowner near Avenue H told police.
Store raid
Thugs held up a Flatbush Avenue store on Jan. 10, but were unable to open the safe.
Workers at the store, which is near Avenue M, said the suspects entered the store at 11 am, pulled a gun and then went behind the counter, where they emptied the register.
They then tried to open the safe, but left after they couldn’t budge the door.
Caught in the act
A thief busted his way into an Avenue I home on Jan. 13, but made a hasty retreat as soon as he was discovered.
The 17-year-old resident told police that she was inside the home, which is near E. 40th Street, at 1:30 pm when the thief kicked in the front door.
But when he realized she was watching him, he ran, escaping in a white van.
Cellphone snag
Two hooligans jumped a 30-year-old man in his own driveway on E. 31st Street on Jan. 10, taking his cellphone.
The victim was nearing his home, which is near Avenue J, at 9:50 pm when the two men stopped him in his tracks. The thugs snatched his cellphone, then demanded his money, but stormed off without the cash.
Opening rush
A trio of thieves jumped a Flatbush Avenue tattoo parlor employee just moments after he opened the store on Jan. 16.
The employee said he was raising the gates to his business, which is near Avenue N, at 2:05 pm when the goons attacked, leaving him with a deep cut that needed medical attention.
The thieves ran off with the victim’s wallet and tattoo license.
