Pia Toscano, arriving for an appearance yesterday on “Live with Regis and Kelly,” is so hot that “American Idol” apparently wants to keep the songbird caged.

Interscope Records hopes to sign the beautiful Queens singer, who was voted off last week, and rush a CD into production, but “Idol” producer 19 Entertainment has ultimate control of Toscano’s immediate future and doesn’t want her to upstage the eventual “Idol” winner, AOL reported.
