Beatle babe goes buggy
Flaky MTA board member and trucking-fortune heiress Nancy Shevell yesterday publicly ripped a paratransit contractor who begged the agency to help with its bedbug infestation — though it took a long time to formulate the thought.
Shevell, who often skips out on board meetings to take international jaunts with main squeeze Paul McCartney, pondered First Transit employee Irene Smith’s pleas for a full 27 minutes before abruptly revisiting the issue at the panel’s public meeting.
“Being a girly-girl, I can’t recover from that picture,” said Shevell. “And my [message] to First Transit is: Clean up your offices.”
