The NYPD’s only beekeeper removed nearly 18,000 bees from a Greenpoint bus stop this afternoon, sources said.

The bees were perched on a curb near Montrose Avenue and Lorimer Street around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday when Detective Anthony Planakis, also known as “Tony Bees,” got the call, the sources said.

It took more than two hours to vacuum the bees off the street near the B60 bus stop, the sources said.

The bees, which are believed to be domesticated, traveled to Greenpoint from neighboring beekeeper hives in the surrounding area, the sources said.

There were no reported injuries.
