Bell cop wants job back
The cop who was fired for starting the barrage of bullets that killed Sean Bell is suing to get his job back.
In papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, Gescard Isnora calls the NYPD’s decision to can him over the 2006 shooting “arbitrary and capricious.”
Isnora’s filing also downplays the death of the unarmed Bell in a hail of 50 police bullets after leaving his bachelor party at a Queens strip club in November 2006. It refers to the incident as “a highly publicized firearms discharge.”
Isnora reiterated that he thought one of Bell’s friends had a gun before he opened fire on their car after it clipped him.
