A 63-year-old man was beaten to death by a homeless man while sweeping a sidewalk in Manhattan earlier this month, cops said Tuesday.

Bernardo Gonzalez Perez was cleaning up near his job in front of 538 W. 138th Street in West Harlem around noon on July 7 when Carlos Ramirez, 48, became enraged, according to police.

The two began to quarrel before Ramirez whacked him over the head with a stick, officials said.

EMTs took him to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in critical condition.
