The blood drained from the face of celeb vegan restaurateur Sarma Melngailis in a Brooklyn courtroom Wednesday when she learned the best deal on the table still involved her spending six months in jail.

Melngailis, owner of the now-shuttered Gramercy eatery Pure Food and Wine, allegedly stole nearly $1 million from investors and employees before skipping town with her now-estranged hubby Anthony Strangis. They were done in by a pizza order tracked to their Tennessee motel a year later.

Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Danny Chun on Wednesday offered six months in jail and five years’ probation. Melngailis’ eyes bugged, and she steadied herself on a chair. Outside the courtroom, the chef looked shell-shocked and teary.

Melngailis will return to court in April. She faces up to 15 years behind bars if convicted at trial.
