The estate of the late Beverly Sills, the famed soprano, is going on the auction block. Everything from her costume designs, artworks and furniture to jewelry and memorabilia will be sold.
The sale is scheduled for next Wednesday at Doyle New York auction house in Manhattan.
The auction house is holding a preview party on Thursday evening. The New York City Opera, where the Brooklyn born singer’s career first flourished, is co-hosting the event.
The Sills collection comprises over 460 lots of fine art, furniture, jewelry, handbags, photographs, costume designs and opera memorabilia from her home overlooking New York’s Central Park.
