A 31-year-old bicyclist was critically injured when she was struck by a box truck while riding through the East Village Wednesday morning, officials said.

The woman was pedaling along First Avenue near East Ninth Street when the truck ran her over around 7:20 a.m.

EMS removed the woman to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene and no charges have been filed.

The incident is still under investigation, police said.
