The city is going to the dogs — to stop the bedbug invasion.
The Department of Housing Preservation and Development may get its own pack of bug-sniffing hounds to help fight bugs in multifamily properties, The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday.
“We are exploring the option of acquiring bedbug-sniffing dogs since we feel they could be an asset in the city’s ongoing efforts to address the growing problem,” a department spokesman told the paper. “A final decision has not been made yet.”
