Two people were shot overnight in the city, the NYPD said.
The most recent incident occurred when a 17-year-old was shot in the chest in the Bronx early Saturday, police said.
The teen victim told authorities he was standing in front of 40 Richman Plaza at about 1:35 a.m. when he heard a shot and then felt pain, cops said.
He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, an NYPD spokesman said.
A short time earlier, at 1 a.m., a 23-year-old man in Brooklyn was shot multiple times in both legs in front of 169 Van Brunt St. in Carroll Gardens. Police said the suspect or suspects fired from a car and the wounded man was taken to Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There was no description of the attackers.
