If not for a brave FDNY captain, Jellyboy the Clown would have been toast.
Eric Broomfield, an entertainer who was nearly burned to death in a house fire last summer was finally able to thank Capt. James Hay, who saved his life when the pair met yesterday at the FDNY’s annual Medal Ceremony.
“I thanked him, gave him a hug, and told him that he literally saved me in the nick of time,” said Broomfield.
