ALBANY — Gov. Cuomo has signed legislation to expand the list of names on the Fallen Firefighters Memorial beyond those volunteers and professionals who died as a direct result of line-of-duty injuries.
Under the new law, names will include those killed “from services performed in the line of duty,” such as firefighter Paul Brady, who died in 2006 on Long Island after falling from a fire engine that was accidentally moved before a drill.
