A bigot scrawled “KILL THE GAY AWAY” on the front of an abandoned East Village building, police said.

The vandal scribbled the hateful message in black spray paint on the front gate of 11 Avenue A around 2:40 a.m. Thursday, cops said late Friday.

The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is now investigating.

Authorities later provided a video of the suspect, whom they described as being approximately 5-foot-6 inches tall with long, curly blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and carrying a yellow messenger bag.
