The city is planning to create a two-way, protected bike lane to link the Manhattan Bridge in downtown Brooklyn and the Williamsburg waterfront.

The new, 1.3-mile Flushing Avenue path would stretch from the popular Kent Avenue bike lane in Williamburg to Navy Street in Vinegar Hill. Officials want to implement the changes by July.
