SOUTH TUCSON, Arizona — Bill de Blasio’s latest fling is staying at a shabby South Tucson motel festooned with “Free Palestine” posters and placards in a run-down part of town not far from city hall.
South Tucson Mayor Roxanna Valenzuela, who de Blasio’s friends say they fear is “stalking” the former New York City mayor, has seemingly set up shop at the Arizona Motel.
The motel, built in 1930, was purchased by the Casa Maria Soup Kitchen in 2023 as part of a plan to boost affordable housing in the area, according to KGUN 9.

The Post spotted Valenzuela entering the Casa Maria building on Thursday afternoon. Months later, de Blasio’s recently jilted ex, progressive activist Nomiki Konst, was contacted by a Pima County official who said Valenzuela wanted to meet with the 64-year-old ex-mayor to discuss Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.

But their star-crossed romance was apparently not to be. Sources said they’re no longer on speaking terms — though the apparent split hasn’t stopped Valenzuela, a mom of two, from continuing to pursue Blaz.
“She was telling people for days after [their tryst] she was going to be with him,” the source said.

Valenzuela declined to comment on her relationship with the ex-New York City mayor when approached by The Post. Roxanna Valenzuela/InstagramDe Blasio even scrapped a recent trip to Puerto Rico for the annual SOMOS political retreat when Valenzuela, a mom of two, flew up to New York City to see him, requiring him to “calm her,” sources said.
Another source close to the situation spared some concern for the former mayor — who is still married to former Big Apple first lady Chirlane McCray — as well.
“What’s happening with Bill, and now that it’s out and people close are concerned, it’s like a mental episode he’s having, to be honest,” they said.
Valenzuela declined to comment on the relationship — saying “not at this time, I’m with my kids” — when approached by The Post as she pulled up to the motel in a Ford Explorer.
