Bill shuts kid-porn loophole
State leaders are reining in Internet sex predators under a legislative deal struck yesterday.
Gov. Cuomo hammered out an agreement with Albany’s legislative leaders on a bill closing a loophole in viewing online child pornography and ensuring it cannot be legally downloaded on a computer.
Currently, anyone who accesses child porn through a Web site is not technically in possession of the content. The deal yesterday states that anyone who intentionally accesses a kiddie porn site will be committing a felony.
