New regulations could alert residents when the city sells public streets and sidewalks to private developers.

Councilman Mark Treyger (D-Brooklyn) will introduce a bill Wednesday that would require the city to outline each transaction and publish online notifications of the proposed sale price before deals are considered.

The measure was prompted by a Post story detailing how the city routinely sells public streets and sidewalks to institutions.
