A White Plains lawyer, born male but living as a woman for years, is suing the city because it won’t give her a copy of her original birth certificate.
Joann Marie Prinzivalli, 55, was stunned when her current and original driver’s licenses weren’t enough to get her a copy of her birth certificate.
She couldn’t get a copy without showing she had gotten a court to sanction her name change.
But Prinzivalli claims she can’t get such a court order without her original birth certificate.
