CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein yesterday ordered a legal review of explosive accusations of job discrimination against female Jewish professors at Brooklyn College, sources said yesterday.

“The University’s general counsel has been in contact with Brooklyn College and is doing due diligence on this matter,” said a City * niversity insider.

But the official stressed the review is being done out of an abundance of caution and he remains skeptical of the discrimination claims.

Goldstein’s move comes as 20 elected city and state lawmakers signed a letter drafted by Assemblyman Dov. Hikind (D-Brooklyn) calling for an independent probe.

Brooklyn College denied the anti-Semitism charges in several cases reported by The Post.
