A 34-year-old man was killed in Brooklyn this evening in a hit-and-run accident, cops said.

Witnesses told investigators that the man was jaywalking as he crossed at 72nd street and 7th Avenue around 8:54 p.m. and was struck by a car driving southbound on 7th Avenue, police sources said.

The vehicle, described as a beige or tan Crown Victoria or Grand Marquis, kept driving after smashing into the man.

The victim – whose name is being withheld pending family notification — was pronounced dead on the scene.
