An elderly Brooklyn man was found dead last night behind an apartment building just one block from his home, police said.

Vincenzo Lattanzio, 83, was last seen alive Thursday afternoon in his Borough Park home on 58th Street before going missing, police added.

It is unknown how or why Lattanzio ended up behind a neighboring building, and police said it is unclear if there was foul play.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
