A young Brooklyn woman was found strangled in her East New York apartment early today — and cops are now searching for her estranged boyfriend as possible suspect, law-enforcement sources said.
The woman, 22-year-old Eiglen Esquea, failed to pick up one of her children from school yesterday afternoon, according to family members.
The child then was picked up by a relative.
Hours later, police gained entry into Esquea’s apartment at 298 Arlington Avenue, and found her unconscious inside. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A law-enforcement source said police are now looking to speak to Esquea’s ex-boyfriend, Darnell Blunt, with whom she has one child.
