ALBANY — It’s Sheldon Silver’s fault!

That’s one of the findings of a new poll on the dysfunctional state government that found 57 percent of voters say the powerful Democratic Assembly speaker from lower Manhattan is part of the problem.

Even Democrats, by 45-26 percent, said Silver, who has led the Assembly since 1994, is part of the problem of New York’s corruption-riddled government.

The new Quinnipiac University poll found that by 89-9 percent, New Yorkers view state government as “broken and needs to be fixed.”

“That’s one messed-up state government in Albany, almost everyone agrees,” said Quinnipiac polling director Maurice Carroll.
