Oh the humanities!

An out-of-control blimp made an emergency landing at a State University of New York campus in Westchester Wednesday morning — but nobody in the aircraft or at the college was injured, officials said.

Unexpectedly strong winds forced the colorful airship’s pilot to touch down in a field at SUNY Purchase College at around 7:15 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said, according to NBC New York.

It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were in the blimp, which took off from Westchester County Airport in White Plains earlier in the day, the outlet reported.

“This morning a hot air balloon made an unscheduled landing on the campus grounds,” SUNY Purchase said in a statement Wednesday. “No injuries were reported, thank you to all of the emergency responders who assisted.”

An investigation into the landing is ongoing, according to the FAA.
