Blood is spilled at Pathmark
A crazed shopper allegedly stabbed a man in the neck yesterday in the meat aisle of the Pathmark in Harlem after the suspect stepped on the victim’s foot, police and store employees said.
Abdullah Mohammed, 51, started arguing loudly at the customer-service desk with William Perry, 70, a former truck driver, at 8 a.m.
Mohammed, clad in a peach linen suit, was booted from the store but soon stormed back and cornered Perry in the meat aisle, two employees said. He allegedly slashed Perry across the neck with a razor.
An employee tackled Mohammed and held him until police arrived, cops said.
Mohammed was arrested and charged with assault. Perry was taken to Harlem Hospital and was likely to survive, cops said.
