Mayor Bloomberg yesterday revealed one of the secrets to luring top talent to his financial-information firm, Bloomberg L.P.: letting recruits know all profits go to charity.

“The guy who runs my company, I loved it when he told me this, he said when he recruits somebody, he said, ‘Where else can you go to work for a company where all the profits are going to go to charity?’ ” Bloomberg said.

Bloomberg, who owns about 85 percent of the information services firm, spilled the recruiting secret yesterday during a press conference.
