Forget tradition and embrace technology, Mayor Bloomberg suggested today to Major League Baseball.
Bloomerg initially responded “I don’t know” when asked if baseball should start employing instants replays in the wake of the perfect game fiasco.
But after a second of reflection he came down solidly in favor.
“If I were the owners I would do it,” he said.
“There’s nothing magical about this. This isn’t life and death. It’s entertainment.”
The mayor also had a kind word for the ump who botched the call and later apologized.
“That’s a classy person” he said.
