Blumenthal slips in poll
Three weeks after Connecticut’s Richard Blumenthal came under fire for falsely claiming he fought in Vietnam, his commanding lead in the US Senate race is narrowing, according to a poll released yesterday.
Blumenthal, the Democratic state attorney general, is ahead of GOP challenger Linda McMahon, 55 percent to 35 percent, in the Quinnipiac University poll. On May 27, he led 56 to 31.
