A boater who became disoriented while traveling alone between New York and New Jersey yesterday was found unharmed after three hours.
Authorities say the wrong-way waterman, whose name was not released, had departed from Great Kills but his craft soon became disabled.
He phoned 911, saying he was disoriented but could see the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge.
Rescue crews from Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook in New Jersey and law-enforcement agencies in New Jersey and New York began searching.
He eventually was found by a passing boater three hours after he first notified authorities.
