It’s smooth sailing for employees at the Central Park Boathouse, thanks to a deal announced yesterday ending a 44-day strike.

Management at the snazzy restaurant agreed on a four-year contract with the New York Hotel Trades Council that guaranteed a wage hike and health benefits for employees and their families.

The deal, reached after several weeks of negotiations with city officials at Gracie Mansion, also requires the restaurant operator, Dean Poll, to recognize the employees’ union.

Deputy Mayor Robert Steel, who helped broker the agreement, called the Boathouse a “one-of-a-kind destination for New Yorkers and visitors.”

“This agreement will allow it to continue to thrive,” he added.

Union President Peter Ward lauded the deal.

“We are encouraging people to come back to the Boathouse and enjoy its lovely ambiance and unique dining experience,” he said.

The restaurant did not close during the strike but reduced service as workers maintained a picket line outside.
