A Staten Island bodega clerk armed with a two-by-four successfully fought off a pipe-wielding robber who tried to grab money from his register, cops said Thursday.

Surveillance video shows the suspect leaning over the counter at Nothing But The Best Deli in Mariners Park, attempting to whack the 25-year-old cashier with the pipe on Jan. 25. The clerk quickly swung a wood plank at his attacker, knocking over a rack on the counter in the process.

The suspect fled the bodega empty-handed and remains at large, cops said.
