PHILADELPHIA — Police from Atlantic City were en route to Philadelphia Tuesday to determine if a body pulled from a Philadelphia river is that of a missing New Jersey woman, WCAU-TV reported.

A bicyclist riding along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia Tuesday spotted the body in the water and contacted police, who recovered it around 10:50am local time.

The body was reportedly that of a black woman whose hands were bound with duct tape and handcuffs.

Atlantic City police will investigate whether the body is that of Nadirah Ruffin, a 19-year-old mother who was abducted during a March 26 home invasion.

Authorities said three men and one woman wearing masks forced her out of the home at gunpoint. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Police did not immediately know the cause of death for the body found Tuesday.
