A man’s body was found this morning in a subway tunnel in Greenwich Village, authorities said.
The grisly discovery was made just north of the station at 6th Avenue and 14th Street about 10:10 a.m. in the tunnel for the southbound F and M trains, said an MTA rep.
The man was believed to be homeless and not struck by a train.
Service on the M line was temporarily suspended in both directions between Continental Avenue in Queens and Essex Street on the Lower East Side while F line traffic was rerouted over to the D line, the MTA said.
The incident is under investigation.
