A child’s body found on Randall’s Island Tuesday morning is believed to be the 5-year-old who went missing after falling into the Harlem River Saturday, cops said.

“It’s probably the 5-year-old,” a police spokesman said. “It’s looking more and more like this is the kid.”

The remains were found around 11:30 a.m. near a loading dock, cops said.

City workers were in the process of removing the remains to positively identify them, the spokesman said.

The missing child, Brendan Mitchell, was last seen by his brother falling from a tree into the water.
