Police confirmed that the body found on Randall’s Island was in fact that of 5-year-old Brendan Mitchell — who went missing after falling into the Harlem River Saturday.

Someone reported finding the body near the NY Waterway ferry dock around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to cops.

The NYPD Harbor Unit responded and recovered Brendan’s body, according to cops. EMS responded and he was pronounced dead on scene.

Brendan was last seen by his brother falling from a tree into the water.

The city medical examiner’s office will determine the boy’s cause of death.
