The body of a teenage boy murdered last year by MS-13 gang members was found in Long Island Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The victim’s corpse was discovered buried in a shallow grave, in a heavily wooded area behind Kellenberg Memorial High School on Glenn Curtiss Blvd in East Meadow after an intensive search, police said.
Cops received a tip about the body’s location and the MS-13 connection, officials said in a press conference near the scene.
Five individuals suspected to be involved in the teen’s death are likely already in custody, cops said.
The identity of the victim and cause of death has yet to be determined.
“This body belongs to a person. This was someone’s son, someone’s brother, someone’s friend”, Nassau District Attorney Madeline Singas said at the press conference.
