New bodycam footage captures the heart-pounding moments NYPD cops rushed an ailing baby to a Brooklyn hospital — and saved his young life.

Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. Saturday to Croton Loop in Starrett City, where a 15-month-old boy was “in need of medical assistance,” authorities said. Upon arrival, they found the tot “having difficulty breathing.”

The tense clip begins as a responding officer takes the child from his distraught mother’s arms.

“Please don’t do this to me,” the mother can be heard crying. “Please don’t take him from me!”

The officer carried the baby toward a waiting NYPD cruiser as he called back, “Mom, let’s go, you can come with us!”

The footage shows officers driving the infant in the police car, with sirens blaring. Officers “continually” performed CPR on the child during the ride, police said.

Then the clip cuts to the cops arriving at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where an officer raced the child into a room filled with doctors and nurses, and placed him on an examination table.

“One year old, the mother is coming,” the cop can be heard saying. “We got on scene like 10 minutes ago. Not breathing.”

Medical personnel treated the child, who cops said Friday was listed in serious but stable condition.

“Over the weekend, officers from the @NYPD75Pct responded to a call of a baby that wasn’t breathing,” the NYPD said in a tweet. “The officers expeditiously drove the baby to @BrookdaleBK while performing CPR. Thanks to their quick actions, and those of the doctors and nurses, the child is alive and well.”
