Chaos erupted at a Brooklyn school after a mystery Instagram user threatened to shoot up the building Monday night, police said.
Using a real picture of a 13-year-old student at IS 201 in Dyker Heights, someone created a fake account under her name and issued the threats, cops said.
The poster also sent out a graphic picture of a penis to hundreds of kids who reported the frightening posts to Instagram.
“Everyone got scared, because pictures like that get sent around all the time but they never come with death threats,” said one eighth-grader.
Several spooked parents called police, who interviewed the student and determined that she had been impersonated.
Units were sent to the school Tuesday morning before police discounted any actual threat.
The person behind the accounts has not been identified, cops said.
