A man was taken in for mental examination after he walked into a hospital building at the Creedmoor Psychiatric hospital with what cops feared was a bomb.

Roy Harvey, 45, walked into building C-73 on the hospital’s sprawling campus on Winchester Boulevard near Union Turnpike in Bellose, at about 9:30 a.m. today and he placed a box on the counter and walked away.

Workers feared the box contained a bomb and the building was evacuated, police said. NYPD Bomb Squad technicians examined the suspicious box and found it contained an ordinary clock and no explosives, police said.

Harvey was taken into custody at the scene, said police. He was being held yesterday for psychiatric evaluation, cops said.
