Police evacuated a Long Island high school on Friday after a pressure cooker and backpack were found in a common area — but the device turned out to be a student’s science project.

Nassau County Police said they responded to a report of a suspicious device at Hewlett High School at noon.

The school was evacuated as a safety precaution until cops determined that the device was a science project that was left unattended.
