They’re going to throw the book at this bookworm.

Manhattan prosecutors were ready to cut a sweet, misdemeanor one-year jail plea for accused serial book swiper Andrew Hansen today — but they scuttled the offer upon realizing he’s under investigation in additional book-theft cases.

Hansen, 27, has already been charged with two alleged book heists, but when prosecutors found out that he is under investigation for two more — for which charges have not yet been brought — they nixed a deal.

The news of the alleged book- swipe spree came as a grand jury indicted Hansen yesterday on felony burglary charges for one of the two heists he’s been charged with, an alleged theft on Sept. 21 at a public library.

Hansen faces up to seven years on that heist alone, in which he’s accused of taking 11 books off the shelves of the library on North End Avenue at Murray Street, and trying to walk out with them.
