New York City police are questioning three people in connection with the stabbing death of a bouncer outside a neighborhood hot spot.

Police say the man was stabbed several times in the torso at about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday after he tossed several people from La Casa Del Mofongo, a restaurant and bar in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan. The man’s name has not been released pending family notification. He was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour after the incident.

No arrests have been made. Apparently the fight started inside the bar and moved to the street. The restaurant is known for its Caribbean food and pulsing merengue and dance music. There was no answer at the restaurant Tuesday afternoon.
