A decomposed body that was bound and gagged was discovered under the Coney Island boardwalk this week, authorities said.

The unidentified body had tape over the mouth and rope tied around the hands when it was discovered underneath the boardwalk at Surf Avenue and West 5th Street around 11:25 p.m. Monday, cops said.

A group of homeless people who have an encampment under the boardwalk knocked over a makeshift wall to make more space for themselves when they made the grisly discovery, police said.

Someone called 911, and police found the body, wearing boxer shorts and a tank top, authorities said.

The person’s age and gender were not immediately determined because the body was so decomposed.
