A 17-year-old boy was shot in the back during a broad daylight shootout in the Bronx.
The teen was injured when two groups exchanged gunfire at Tratman Avenue and Saint Peters Avenue in the Westchester Square section on Saturday, June 24, according to the NYPD.
The troubling incident took place at about 7:46 p.m. near the Pearly Gates playground, police said.
Police are asking the public for help identifying the group involved in Saturday’s shooting. DCPIThe unnamed 17-year-old victim was hit in the back by a bullet during the broad daylight shootout.
He was taken by private means to Montefiore Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.
The teenagers or young men involved fled the scene of the shooting in unknown directions, according to officials.

Another individual involved can be seen in pictures wearing a white T-shirt and ski mask.
